Postnatal recovery is also important to me – the time when women can rediscover their own bodies and strengthen their long-term health.
But even if not everything goes according to plan, it is important to me to support families with calm, competence and empathy – with space for all feelings and the security of being in good hands.
In addition to my freelance work, I work in the delivery room at the Linde Clinic in Biel – the work surrounding childbirth never ceases to fascinate me. I grew up and live in Burgdorf. I offer freelance support services in the surrounding area.
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors—especially in the mountains. I love discovering new places, traveling, and constantly learning new things.

I am Colette
For me, being a midwife is more than a job – it's my passion and a task that inspires and moves me every day. Even as a child, I knew I wanted to follow this path. Today, I accompany women and their families through one of the most intense phases of their lives – with an open ear and an eye for both the small and the big moments, a willingness to be there even in challenging times, and a joy in everything that may arise along the way.
I'm always fascinated by what the female body can achieve—how it grows a child during pregnancy, manages childbirth, and transforms itself again and again afterward. The power and uniqueness of each birth touches me deeply.
I love empowering women during pregnancy, preparing them for birth, and accompanying them on their journey to motherhood. I consider it a great gift to see couples become parents, to witness this transformation, and to be able to accompany them on part of their journey.
