Cost coverage
In a risk-free pregnancy, your basic health insurance plan covers seven prenatal check-ups, which can be performed by either a midwife or a gynecologist. In a high-risk pregnancy, additional check-ups are covered by your health insurance. I suggest alternating these check-ups with your gynecologist—for coordinated and comprehensive care.
Pregnancy check-ups
Pregnancy is a special time – every woman and every family is unique. I will accompany you with individual check-ups, tailored to your needs, your well-being, and your questions. I will set aside approximately one hour for the medical aspects – usually at your home.
What does pregnancy check-up involve?
Heart rate monitoring and baby growth monitoring
Blood pressure measurement, urine test, weight control
Blood samples (if necessary)
Advice on nutrition, digestion and prophylaxis
Relief of pregnancy symptoms (e.g. nausea, back pain)
Discussion about birth preparation, postpartum and breastfeeding
Space for your questions, wishes and concerns
