Cost coverage

In a low-risk pregnancy, basic health insurance covers seven prenatal checkups, which can be performed by either a midwife or a gynecologist. For high-risk pregnancies, additional checkups are covered by the health insurance. I suggest alternating these checkups with your gynecologist for coordinated and comprehensive care.

Pregnancy checkups

Pregnancy is a special time – every woman, every family is unique. I will support you with individual check-ups, tailored to your needs, your well-being, and your questions. I will dedicate approximately one hour to the medical aspects – usually in your home.

What does a pregnancy check-up involve?

  • Heart rate monitoring and monitoring of the baby's growth progress

  • Blood pressure measurement, urine test, weight check

  • Blood samples (if necessary)

  • Advice on nutrition, digestion and prophylaxis

  • Relief from pregnancy discomfort (e.g. nausea, back pain)

  • Discussion about birth preparation, postpartum period and breastfeeding

  • A space for your questions, wishes and concerns
