Cost coverage

In a risk-free pregnancy, your basic health insurance plan covers seven prenatal check-ups, which can be performed by either a midwife or a gynecologist. In a high-risk pregnancy, additional check-ups are covered by your health insurance. I suggest alternating these check-ups with your gynecologist—for coordinated and comprehensive care.

Pregnancy check-ups

Pregnancy is a special time – every woman and every family is unique. I will accompany you with individual check-ups, tailored to your needs, your well-being, and your questions. I will set aside approximately one hour for the medical aspects – usually at your home.

What does pregnancy check-up involve?

  • Heart rate monitoring and baby growth monitoring

  • Blood pressure measurement, urine test, weight control

  • Blood samples (if necessary)

  • Advice on nutrition, digestion and prophylaxis

  • Relief of pregnancy symptoms (e.g. nausea, back pain)

  • Discussion about birth preparation, postpartum and breastfeeding

  • Space for your questions, wishes and concerns
