acupuncture
Acupuncture is a treatment method from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in which fine needles are inserted at specific points on the body to harmonize the flow of energy and relieve discomfort.
During pregnancy and the postpartum period, acupuncture can be a valuable support – it helps to bring the body into balance, relieve discomfort and promote preparation for birth or recovery after birth.
I use acupuncture individually and tailored to your situation, for example in the case of:
Nausea and vomiting
Back pain, sciatica
Water retention
Sleep problems / exhaustion
anxieties and inner restlessness
Night sweats
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Support during birth preparation (from the 36th week of pregnancy, e.g. for cervical ripening, relaxation, relief of discomfort)
Labor induction (if the due date has passed)
Promoting the turning of the child into a head-down position when it is in breech position
Supportive treatment for premature labor
Support for breastfeeding problems (e.g., insufficient milk supply, engorgement)
Energy treatment during the postpartum period to strengthen the body and promote recovery
Cost coverage
Acupuncture is a voluntary service. The costs are generally not covered by basic health insurance. Whether supplemental insurance covers part of the costs depends on the individual policy – services provided by midwives are often not covered. Please clarify this with your health insurance provider beforehand.
